Hello!
I'm Heather Craig, a Northern Ireland based interior designer for over 20 years, who wants to help you create a home that feels right, not almost right.
I created the Beautiful Home Academy for people who care about their homes, have plenty of ideas, but sometimes get completely stuck trying to make a decision.
Maybe you don’t know which colour to choose. Whether that sofa is going to work. What to do about curtains. Where the furniture should go. Or maybe something just doesn’t look right and you can’t work out why.
This isn’t about teaching you random interior design theory.
You bring me your room, your photos and the thing you’re stuck on, and I’ll give you my professional opinion so you can make a decision and move forward.
Think of it as having an interior designer friend you can turn to when you need a bit of direction.
The academy is for you
If you’re not confident about colours, layouts or what to actually buy and would love to run your ideas past an interior designer before making a final decision.
If you keep putting off decisions because you're worried about getting it wrong, or wasting money on something you might regret.
If you're overwhelmed by too many choices, paint colours, sofas, curtains, rugs and endless inspiration and would just love someone to help you narrow it down.
If you've got furniture, flooring, artwork or other things you already own and want to make what you already have work together, rather than starting again.
If you'd love to simply show me your room, tell me what you're stuck on and ask, “What would you do here?” and get an expert answer that's specific to your home.

Rooms take time. Life gets in the way and decorating plans get put on hold. There’s nothing to keep up with here. You can use the Academy at your own pace and bring me your questions as they come up.
Instead of asking friends, family or tradespeople and getting lots of different opinions, you can show me your actual room and get professional advice on what will work in your home.
